Egg Care Instructions.

Please enjoy our naturally true blue Araucana eggs! Our hens are happy and healthy with organic feed and full pasture access at Indian Paintbrush Farm in Rockford, Michigan. Eggs have a protective layer over the shell called a “bloom.” Most commercial eggs are washed, which is why they need to be refrigerated. It's best not to wash eggs until ready to use. Wash gently in warm water with no soap. If you do wash eggs, they will last for about 2 months refrigerated. Eggs that are not washed should last about 2 weeks unrefrigerated and 3 months refrigerated. Indian Paintbrush regenerative eggs have been shown to contain more vitamin A, Beta-carotene, Folate, and Omega-3 fatty acids than conventionally grown eggs.
